Event | Roaring into 2020, and beyond
Whilst it remains to be seen whether this decade will repeat the Roaring Twenties, what we can be sure of is that you need to be prepared for some not inconsiderable changes and challenges.
These include the departure from the European Union, a post Brexit transition period and a raft of employment and immigration legislative reforms proposed by the Johnson administration seeking to put its stamp on the workplace and wider economy, against a backdrop of international trade wars and fears of recession.
As a must for people practitioners, this session will, in addition to summarising the key developments over the last 12 months, focus on what you need to know to be prepared for the year ahead, including:
- Election Outcome – employment rights proposed by the Conservative Party
- The Good Work Plan and other changes – what you need to do by 6 April 2020
- Confidentiality Clauses in Settlement Agreements – where do we stand and expected future regulation
- Off Payroll Working Rules / IR35 – an update
- Immigration – an overview for 2020
- Brexit – an update on the current state of play
- EHRC guidance on dealing with sexual harassment
- The cases during 2019 that you need to know about
