Everything you want to know about artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (and its close cousin machine learning) have moved to the mainstream. High profile examples we’ve worked on, such as using AI to diagnose eye disease, are just the tip of the iceberg. AI is going to have widespread application in all sorts of sectors, both by helping people to make better decisions and by carrying out independent, automated decision making. The rise of AI will present a host of challenges – ethical, practical and legal – and our specialists are involved with their peers in the law and industry in working out the right responses.

In the meantime, we’ve already put AI to work in our own business to benefit our clients. We’re using machine learning to analyse large volumes of contracts including to identify compliance with GDPR and evaluate the impact of Brexit scenarios. Combining our legal expertise with AI allows us diagnose issues, report potential problems and find solutions much more quickly.
