Kemp Little LLP, the leading technology law firm, is delighted to announce that senior financial services lawyer, Lucy Frew, has joined the firm to launch its Financial Regulatory practice.

Lucy joins Kemp Little this week from Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP. As a financial services and markets lawyer advising on all aspects of UK and EU financial regulation, she brings to Kemp Little over 14 years’ experience in the City working with financial sector firms. The Financial Regulatory practice at Kemp Little will focus on financial regulation at the intersection between technology and the financial sector.

Lucy’s experience extends to financial institutions across the wholesale and retail spectrum, with clients including:

• banks
• insurers and reinsurers
• brokers, advisers and arrangers
• investment funds businesses
• wealth managers and private banks
• operators of multilateral trading facilities, exchanges and other trading platforms, trade repositories and clearing houses
• rating agencies
• crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending platforms
• consumer credit providers
• payment services providers and electronic money issuers

The Financial Regulatory practice will also offer advice to unregulated providers of financial technology to the authorised financial sector, as well as extensive expertise in bribery and corruption prevention in both financial and non-financial sector businesses.

Many of the matters Lucy advises on are international, and she has extensive experience of leading and managing multi-jurisdictional projects and helping clients decide how best to structure their businesses and obtain competitive advantage.
